Jaipur had been on my travel bucket list for a long time. I had seen photos of the beautiful forts, colorful streets, royal palaces, and famous Rajasthani food everywhere online. So finally, I planned a 3 days Jaipur trip on a budget, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best short trips I have ever experienced.

Day 1 – Arriving in Jaipur & Exploring the Pink City

I reached Jaipur early in the morning by train. The moment I stepped outside Jaipur Junction, I could already feel the vibe of the city. The streets were colorful, people were wearing traditional Rajasthani clothes, and everywhere I looked, there were beautiful pink-colored buildings.

I booked a budget hostel near MI Road because most tourist attractions are close to this area. After checking in and getting fresh, I started my Jaipur trip with one of the most famous landmarks in the city.

Visiting Hawa Mahal – The Icon of Jaipur

My first stop was the beautiful Hawa Mahal. I had seen this place in so many Instagram reels and travel videos, but seeing it in real life felt completely different.

The architecture looked stunning with hundreds of small windows designed for royal women to observe street festivals during ancient times.

The best part about visiting Hawa Mahal in the morning is the sunlight falling directly on the pink sandstone building, making it look even more beautiful.

I spent around an hour here taking photos and exploring the inside sections.

After Hawa Mahal, I walked towards City Palace because it is located nearby.

The massive doors and colorful architecture were absolutely amazing for photography.

One thing I really liked about City Palace was how clean and well-maintained the entire place was.

Lunch at LMB Restaurant

By afternoon, I was extremely hungry, so I went to the famous LMB Restaurant near Johari Bazaar.

I ordered:

• Rajasthani Thali
• Sweet Lassi

Honestly, this was my first proper Rajasthani meal, and the taste was incredible.

The Dal Baati was full of ghee and flavors, while the churma tasted sweet and delicious.

Evening Shopping at Johari Bazaar & Bapu Bazaar

In the evening, I explored Jaipur’s local markets.

Johari Bazaar was full of jewelry shops, colorful clothes, and traditional handicrafts. Meanwhile, Bapu Bazaar was perfect for budget shopping.

I bought:

• Printed kurtas
• Handmade souvenirs

One important tip: bargaining is very common here, so never buy at the first price.

Walking through these markets felt like experiencing the real culture of Jaipur.

Day 2 – Exploring Jaipur Forts & Sunset Views

The second day of my Jaipur trip was all about forts, history, and amazing viewpoints.

I rented a scooter early in the morning because most forts are located slightly outside the main city.

Visiting Amber Fort Jaipur

Amber Fort was honestly the highlight of my entire Jaipur trip.

The fort is huge, and the architecture is absolutely breathtaking. As I entered through the massive gates, I could see beautiful courtyards, royal rooms, and detailed mirror work inside Sheesh Mahal.

I spent almost three hours exploring different sections of the fort.

The view from the top was unbelievable because you can see the surrounding hills and Maota Lake from there.

Panna Meena Ka Kund – Hidden Gem of Jaipur

Near Amber Fort, I visited Panna Meena Ka Kund, a beautiful ancient stepwell.

It was less crowded compared to other tourist places, which made the experience peaceful and relaxing.

Jal Mahal During Sunset

After exploring forts, I stopped near Jal Mahal in the evening.

Jal Mahal is located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, and during sunset, the reflection of the palace on the water looks magical.

Even though tourists cannot enter the palace, the roadside view itself is worth visiting.

There were many street food stalls nearby, so I tried:

• Masala corn
• Kulhad tea
• Pani puri

The weather became pleasant during sunset, and this was probably one of the most peaceful moments of my Jaipur trip.

Nahargarh Fort Night View

At night, I went to Nahargarh Fort.

The road to Nahargarh Fort itself was exciting because of the hill drive and city views.

Once I reached the top, I could see the entire Jaipur city glowing with lights.

Honestly, this was one of the best night views I have seen in India.

If you visit Jaipur, do not skip Nahargarh Fort during evening time.

Day 3 – Cafes, Culture & Local Experiences

My last day in Jaipur was more relaxed because I wanted to experience local culture and famous cafes.

Morning Visit to Patrika Gate

I started my morning at Patrika Gate, one of the most Instagram-famous places in Jaipur.

The gate is filled with colorful artwork representing Rajasthani culture and heritage.

I visited early morning to avoid crowds and clicked some amazing photos.

This place is perfect for photography lovers.

Exploring Jaipur Cafes

After sightseeing, I visited a rooftop cafe called The Tattoo Cafe near Hawa Mahal.

The cafe offered a direct view of Hawa Mahal while enjoying coffee and snacks.

Sitting there, relaxing, and watching the busy Jaipur streets felt amazing.

Later, I also visited Tapri Central, another famous cafe known for tea and snacks.

In the afternoon, I explored Albert Hall Museum.

The museum contains ancient artifacts, paintings, sculptures, and historical collections from Rajasthan.

Traditional Evening at Chokhi Dhani

For my final evening in Jaipur, I visited Chokhi Dhani.

This place gives a complete traditional Rajasthani village experience.

I enjoyed:

• Puppet shows
• Camel rides
• Traditional Rajasthani dinner

The food here was unlimited and served in authentic Rajasthani style.

Honestly, ending my Jaipur trip here felt perfect.
